Lapa Rios
Guests will feel they’re part of Lapa Rios’ reforestation efforts during this fun and rewarding activity for the whole family. The experience starts at the Lapa Rios tree nursery, where a staff naturalist explains rainforest regeneration and has guests choose a seedling for planting in an emerging forest area. Participants will learn about the type of tree they chose, its role in the ecosystem and receive a digital diploma commemorating the date and location of their reforestation efforts. Gift certificates can be purchased for those wishing to plant a tree in honor of a friend, loved one, or even a pet. Plant a Tree excursions alternate days with the Sustainability Tour at 12 noon.
