Despite our remote location, getting to Lapa Rios Lodge is easy. We’re located in a 1,000-acre private rainforest reserve on the wild Osa Peninsula in the South Western part of Costa Rica – one of the most biodiverse places on Earth according to National Geographic. There are 3 ways to get to Lapa Rios Lodge: Fly, Drive or take our Private Shuttle Service.

Fly
From San Jose, take a short 50-minute domestic flight with carbon neutral Sansa Airlines to the nearby town of Puerto Jimenez. From here, we’ll pick you up and take you on a beautiful, albeit bumpy, ride through the rainforest to Lapa Rios.
Drive
The drive from San Jose to Lapa Rios will give you a great taste of our country and culture. Highways are fully paved and safe. The ride will be approximately 7 hours.
Private Shuttle
